Our 1st day on the Island <><

This is Pedro St. James - Birthplace of democracy in the Cayman Islands..

We visited Mission Home - built in mid-1800's - one of Cayman's oldest dwellings housed Pastor's & Missionaries.  In 2004 due to damage from Hurricane Ivan it was closed - it recently re-opened <><

Our last stop of the day was

The Pirates Caves in Bodden Town !!

Our last day on the Island

Took the jeep to the beach

& to West End - this was the old

turtle farm that Hurricane Ivan

destroyed - it is now being re-built for the dolphins !!

Across the street is the new

turtle farm <><

-- it was our favorite -

step on in !!

Yes we are holding turtles !!

This was cool !!

The Iguana's walked the streets too !!

But they don't bother a soul !! They can only be found in the Cayman's

This is "SweetPea" the Cayman Green Parrot!!

Michael no longer a stranger on the Island - Security Guard & employee recognized him !

We saw some turtles !!

Our last dinner was at Seven Mile Beach - The Lobster Pot

Notice  how they prepare the crab legs - 1st time i ever ate crab legs without making a mess !!  What an idea !!

Everybody had chickens in their yards- places of business had them - this was on my way in the grocery store !!!!!

By the way - gas was $6.00 for

regular in US money !!

No postman in Cayman - everyone has a post office box .

Grand Cayman has no taxes.
